Dua Lipa and Callum Turner are reportedly looking at Palermo, Sicily, for their wedding, with new reports saying the celebration may now be pushed to the first weekend of June. The change adds another layer to a plan that is still unconfirmed, even as the couple’s guest list and venue choices draw attention.
Lipa confirmed in June 2025 that she and Turner were engaged during an interview with Harper’s Bazaar UK, saying she was “happier than ever” and describing love as “a beautiful thing.” That has kept the pair in the spotlight, especially after reports pointed to a destination wedding built around Sicily, where they vacationed last summer and were said to have looked at Villa Igiea, a Rocco Forte Hotel.
One report said the couple had booked an entire floor of suites for guests over the first weekend of September 2026, while another said the wedding would be kept to their nearest and dearest and would not be a showy affair. A source quoted by The Sun said some people who expected to bring a plus one were told they could not, suggesting the numbers are being kept tight around a group of famous friends that includes Sir Elton John, Mark Ronson, Charli xcx, Rosé and Jennie of BLACKPINK, Donatella Versace and Simon Porte Jacquemus.
The timing, though, remains unsettled. Initial reports from Giornale di Sicilia said the couple were planning a three-day celebration between September 5 and 7, but later sources cited by La Repubblica said the weekend may instead move to the first weekend of June. Other reports have gone a step further and suggested the September dates may not be for the wedding at all, but for Lipa’s dress fitting.
That uncertainty has only fueled the speculation around what Lipa might wear. The internet has already settled on a custom Atelier Versace gown, and some followers think she may have signaled a bridal moment earlier this month when she wore a replica of a sparkling minidress Kate Moss wore in 1995.
For now, the clearest detail is the one from last summer, when the pair were seen in Sicily and one observer described them as low-key and relaxed. Patrick Lanzino said Lipa drank Campari soda, Turner had an Old Fashioned and the couple ate olives while playing cards, adding that she seemed “very sweet” and “like a normal couple.” Whether Palermo is the final setting, and whether June or September is the real date, remains the unanswered piece at the center of the story.
