Maya Jama has put her Arabic hip tattoo back in the spotlight, showing the vertical inscription along her hip in a bikini shoot for Agent Provocateur Swim 2026. The 31-year-old presenter did it just weeks after her split from Ruben Dias, turning a fashion campaign into the clearest public marker yet of the breakup.
That is why her name is being searched now. Jama has been announced as the new face of Swim 2026, and the image doing the rounds is the one where the tattoo sits front and center as she models the collection. She first shared the ink online in March, but the timing gives it new meaning after the end of a relationship that lasted about 18 months and began when she and the Manchester City defender met at the MTV European Music Awards in Manchester at the end of 2024.
The tattoo reads, in English, “Love as you've never been hurt, dance like nobody's watching.” It is a neat line for a public figure whose life is moving fast again. After wrapping Celebrity Traitors, Jama traveled to Majorca to begin production on Love Island, and she is heading into an intense filming schedule that keeps her squarely in the public eye even as the breakup becomes part of the conversation around her latest work.
There is, though, a gap between the rumor mill and what is actually known. Reports have claimed Dias was “toe-dipping” in different parts of the romance, including screenshots believed to show him following and unfollowing model Catarina Duraes in March and similar behavior with a woman named Claire from Perth last November. But there is no indication that he was unfaithful to Jama or ever contacted the women involved, which leaves the loudest accusations hanging without proof.
A source close to the pair said they had “a wonderful time together” and that there was still “a lot of love and respect” between them, but also that both careers were going into overdrive this summer and the relationship had run its course. Followers noticed earlier this month that both had removed all evidence of the relationship, and the next steps are already set: Jama carries on with Love Island and Dias links up with the Portugal squad for the World Cup. For now, the breakup is being measured less by a statement than by the tattoo she chose to show when the cameras came out.
