Justin Long and Iris Apatow are in negotiations to star in Stung, a survival thriller about killer bees that is gearing up for production, with the project being introduced to international buyers at the 2026 Cannes Film Market.
The announcement was made on May 13, 2026, and it puts Long back with director Colin Minihan less than a year after they worked together on the 2025 horror-comedy Coyotes. Minihan, whose credits include Grave Encounters in 2011 and What Keeps You Alive in 2018, is steering the new film into the market as it looks to line up financing and cast.
Long, who has built a career that moves easily between comedy and genre material, would be taking on another survival story if the deal closes.
