The Mark Hughes Foundation has put its 2026 beanies on sale as it prepares for the 10th NRL Beanie for Brain Cancer Round, a campaign it says has helped raise vital funds for brain cancer research, patient support and care programs for 12 years.
The round will run during Round 17 from June 25 to 28, when players, officials and fans are expected to wear MHF beanies in support of brain cancer patients and their families. The foundation says the beanies are available now online through the MHF Shop and in-store at Lowes stores Australia-wide, participating IGA stores and selected Woolworths stores.
Brain cancer remains the leading cause of cancer death in children and adults under 40 in Australia, and the foundation says very little is known about the disease, its causes or how it is treated. That is why the annual beanie drive matters: it is one of the charity’s main ways to turn a simple piece of merchandise into money for research and support.
The foundation says donations of $2 or more are tax deductible. Mark Hughes Foundation Limited, ABN 17 622 847 376, is a registered charity with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission and is endorsed as a Deductible Gift Recipient Item 1.
Its message for this year is plain: wear hope, share hope, and keep the pressure on a disease that still takes too many young lives.
