Maper Maker committed to Arkansas on Tuesday after recently taking an official visit to Fayetteville, giving John Calipari another frontcourt addition for the 2025 class. The former 4-star center is 7-foot-0 and 200 pounds.
Maker was an 4-star prospect and the No. 18 center in the nation in the 2025 class. He was also listed as the No. 3 prospect in Arizona as a senior at Bella Vista Prep in Phoenix.
The commitment gives Arkansas a tall, lean post prospect who fits the kind of interior size Calipari has long valued. Maker’s visit to Fayetteville appears to have been the turning point, with the Razorbacks securing his pledge soon after he spent time on campus.
For Arkansas, the move adds another piece to a class that continues to take shape around impact size. For Maker, it closes the recruiting process with a landing spot in the SEC and puts him on a path toward the next step after Bella Vista Prep.
The remaining question is how quickly Maker can turn his frame and ranking into production at the college level. At 7-foot-0, with national top-20 positional status and a recent trip to Fayetteville behind him, he arrives with obvious upside and immediate attention.
