Shemar Moore is taking S.W.A.T. Exiles on the road, even if the series still does not have a home. The spinoff is being shown in Los Angeles for the 2026 LA Screenings, and Moore marked the moment with a video on Instagram celebrating the cast and the project he is fronting as Daniel “Hondo” Harrelson.

In the clip, Moore handed out customized Exiles hoodies to castmates Ronen Rubinstein, Freddy Miyares, Lucy Barrett, Zyra Gorecki and Adain Bradley. The screening gives the 10-episode series a public push months after filming wrapped in February and comes as the production continues to shop for a network or streamer.

S.W.A.T. ended in 2025 after eight seasons, closing the book on a CBS procedural that had avoided cancellation twice before its final run ended. Sony Pictures Television announced S.W.A.T. Exiles just days after the finale aired, with Moore returning as Hondo for a story built around a forced-retirement setback and a new mission to lead a last-chance experimental SWAT unit made up of untested young recruits.

The project is moving forward with a mostly new cast, but it is not starting from scratch. Jay Harrington, David Lim and Patrick St. Esprit are also confirmed to be back, a link to the original series that could matter as the new version tries to persuade buyers there is still an audience for the franchise.

The gap between the show’s momentum and its business reality is the point. Moore was already telling fans in March that the team was actively trying to find a platform and screen the series, and that remains true now: the cast can celebrate the launch, but the future of the spinoff still depends on someone picking it up.
