There is no new episode of From this week, but the wait is short. Episode 6 of the MGM+ horror series will premiere Sunday, May 31, and the show’s central mystery is moving closer to something that looks like an answer.
That is the message Harold Perrineau is carrying into the next chapter. Perrineau, who plays Sheriff Boyd Stevens, said in an interview with Los Angeles-based TV station KTLA about Episode 5 that viewers should expect more revelations, adding, “We’re getting a lot more answers,” and, “It feels like we’re a lot closer to figuring out how to get out of here.”
The timing matters because From has spent Season 4, which began in April, slowly revealing how the town’s residents are tied to the place trapping them. The series has leaned on dread and delay, withholding the rules of its world even as it keeps tightening the story around the people stuck inside it.
That world remains the show’s draw. From centers on residents connected to a creepy town where monsters and life-sized dolls come out at night with killer intentions, a setup that turns every new piece of information into something viewers have been waiting to use.
The friction is that the show has promised movement before. Horror series built around a central mystery can stretch patience as easily as they build suspense, and From has relied on the same question for weeks: how much is it really willing to explain? Perrineau’s comments suggest the answer is more than before, but not everything at once.
For now, the next marker is clear. Episode 6 arrives Sunday on MGM+, and if Perrineau is right, the series is no longer simply circling the town’s secrets. It is starting to open them.
