AEW Double or Nothing 2026 will be held at Louis Armstrong Stadium in Queens, New York, for the first time ever on Sunday, May 24, with the main card set for 8 p.m. ET. The Zero Hour pre-show begins at 7 p.m. ET, and the event will stream on HBO Max, Prime Video, DAZN, Fubo and PPV.com.
Darby Allin will defend the AEW Championship against MJF in the headline match, with MJF putting his hair on the line after spending weeks pushing for a rematch. Allin only agreed once the stipulation was added, turning the title defense into a bout with more than one prize at stake.
The show arrives after a busy stretch for both men. Last month, MJF lost the AEW World Championship to Allin, and since then Allin has defended the belt successfully several times. Jericho’s path has been different. He returned to AEW programming last month, lost to Ricochet at Dynasty and has since been held down by Ricochet and The Demand.
That sets up another notable return for one of AEW’s signature gimmick matches. Jericho will be part of a Stadium Stampede at Double or Nothing 2026, and Sunday’s bout will be the first Stadium Stampede in nearly three years. AEW has only staged three Stadium Stampede matches in its history, and Jericho was involved in the first two.
The card is being framed as one of AEW’s biggest of the year, with nearly all of the company’s top stars and nearly all of its top championships on the line. Queens is getting the first Double or Nothing in New York, and the company is leaning on a title match that has been building for weeks along with a long-awaited Stadium Stampede return to give the show its edge. What happens next is simple: Allin now has to survive a champion’s defense with MJF’s hair attached to the outcome, while Jericho gets another shot at settling a score that has followed him since his comeback.
