Ghanaian actress and media personality has died, her husband, , known as Choirmaster of fame, announced on May 24. In a social media tribute, Baah said the loss had left his heart “shattered beyond words” and described Afaglo as central to his life and happiness.

Baah said it would have been just four more days to her birthday, a detail that gave his tribute an even sharper edge. Afaglo was born on May 28, 1983, and her death comes days before that date.

Afaglo built a screen career that stretched across more than a decade, with film credits including in 2006, in 2007 and in 2008. She also appeared in , and The Game in 2010, followed by Single Six and Equatorial Escape in 2011, and Secret Burden in 2012. In his tribute, Baah wrote that Afaglo was his strength, his happiness and the reason his life felt complete. He said every moment with her was a blessing and added that he could still hear her voice cheering him on. He pledged to carry on everything they had planned and started, ending his message with the promise that she would remain in his heart forever.

The loss lands hardest because it is personal and immediate: a public figure who spent years on screen is gone just days before her birthday, and the grief was announced by the man who shared his life with her. For fans who knew Afaglo through her roles and for those who followed her life off camera, Baah’s tribute is now the clearest account of what her death has taken from the people closest to her.
