said her husband, Dubai-based businessman , has been missing for three days and that she fears he may have been kidnapped. She made the claim in a YouTube video on Saturday 16 May, saying she had not heard from him since Wednesday night at 10pm.

“Something really, really serious has happened,” Price said. “I don’t really know where to begin but I know there’s all this speculation about Lee from when I met him.” She said Andrews was trying to get through the border in Dubai to catch a flight to her when she last heard from him.

Price said the case has now drawn in Dubai’s , but added that no one has been able to find any record of Andrews being detained anywhere in the country. “No one can find him in any prison, any police station; the police can’t find any record of him,” she said, adding that she and others were wondering whether he had been kidnapped.

The disappearance comes four months after Price married Andrews in January. The pair had been navigating a long-distance relationship, and Price said she had posted on Instagram that he was taking time away from social media because of recent trolling. She also said Andrews had been due to fly from Dubai to the UK for an appearance on .

There is also a separate question hanging over Andrews’s background. The disputed his claims that he earned a PhD from the institution, adding another layer to the attention surrounding the couple even before Price said he went missing. For now, Price says the practical question is far more urgent: whether police in Dubai can locate Andrews, or whether a husband who left to catch a flight has simply vanished without a trace.
