Police in Stockport are appealing for information after two boys, Luca and Liam, were last seen in Heaton Mersey on Thursday morning. Officers said the pair were spotted on Burnage Lane at 8.20am on Thursday 21 May and have not been confirmed safe since.
Luca is 13 and Liam is 14. Luca is described as 5ft 8in tall, with dark brown wavy hair, and was last seen wearing grey tracksuit bottoms and a black coat. Liam is 5ft 10in tall, of medium build, with brown or fair hair, and was last seen in a grey tracksuit with blue and white Jordan trainers.
Greater Manchester Police said officers are becoming increasingly concerned about the boys and want to make sure they are safe and well. The appeal comes after they were reported missing, with police publishing detailed descriptions of their clothes and appearance in the hope that someone who saw them in the Stockport area will come forward.
Heaton Mersey sits within the part of Stockport covered by the police appeal, and that local detail matters because the search depends on members of the public recalling a boy in a black coat, a grey tracksuit or the distinctive trainers Liam was wearing.
