World Bright International Limited is recalling about 18,500 Agio Menlo Woven Patio Swings sold at Costco after the swing seat was found to detach suddenly while in use, creating a fall hazard the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said could lead to serious injury or death.
The recall covers swings with model number 1934256, sold at Costco stores nationwide and on Costco.com in February and March 2026 for between $549 and $649. The swings have a black metal frame, brown woven wicker seating and a fabric canopy.
The CPSC said the firm has received eight reports of the swing seat detaching from the swing frame, and those incidents led to eight injuries, including impact injuries to the head and arms. That is the number that turned a backyard furniture problem into a safety recall with immediate instructions for anyone who bought one.
Consumers should stop using the recalled patio swings right away and contact World Bright International Limited for a free repair. The repair is not a replacement or refund; it consists of replacement hooks and instructions for replacing the hooks. That detail matters because the recall reaches shoppers who bought the swings only months ago and may still have them assembled outdoors, where the risk exists whenever someone sits down.
The CPSC issued its notice on May 14 after reviewing the reports of detachments and injuries. For Costco customers, the takeaway is plain: check the model number, stop using the swing if it matches 1934256, and arrange the hook replacement before anyone sits in it again.
