and its production partners unveiled the first look at CoComelon: The Movie on Monday and announced an all-star voice cast that includes Sza, setting up the first feature-length trip to theaters for one of children’s entertainment’s most recognizable brands. The CG animated film is due in theaters on Friday, February 19, 2027.

Alongside Sza, the cast includes , , , , Josh Johnson, Matt Friend, Rhys Darby and Cristo Fernández. Each actor voices a newly created character for the film, while Connor Esterson will voice JJ, Camden Brooks will voice Cody, Olivia London Leyva will voice Nina and Aerina DeBoer will voice CeCe.

The movie is being released by Universal Pictures and produced with , , and DreamWorks Animation, with animation by the DNEG Group. Kat Good is directing, and Justin Tranter is serving as executive music producer. It is the first CoComelon feature film to be brought to the big screen, turning a property built on short-form songs and lessons into a full-length theatrical release.

The scale is easy to see. CoComelon draws more than 4 billion average monthly views on YouTube, is available in more than 20 languages and reaches audiences in over 80 countries. Moonbug joined the franchise in 2020, and since then the brand has expanded well beyond its core videos into spin-offs including The Melon Patch, CoComelon Playdates with Sanrio Friends, Netflix’s CoComelon Lane, Cody Time, Nina’s Familia and JJ’s Animal Time.

The tension in this move is the same one that comes with any adaptation of a sprawling children’s franchise: whether the intimate rhythm of songs, repetition and life-skills lessons can hold across a feature-length story. For now, the studio is betting that the combination of a star voice cast and a familiar cast of characters will give parents and children a reason to show up when the film opens on February 19, 2027.
