Auburn stayed at No. 6 despite a 1-3 week that included a loss at Jacksonville State and a series loss at home to Georgia, while Texas A&M remained just behind it in the rankings. The stability at the top gave the final regular-season d1 baseball rankings a settled look, even as Auburn's week broke a run of six straight series wins during the regular season.
The picture changed lower in the poll. Oklahoma fell out after dropping from No. 18, and Boston College also disappeared after losing six of its final seven games. That slide ended with a rough home sweep by Georgia Tech, which outscored the Eagles 38-3 over three games.
Two teams played their way in at the end. Arizona State entered after winning two of three at Houston and finishing 19-11 in the Big 12. Tennessee also moved into the rankings after closing with series wins over Texas and Oklahoma and climbing to.500 in the SEC.
Because this was the final ranking of the regular season, there is no more room for movement before the tournament bracket takes over. The top 10 did not change, UCLA stayed on top, and the last week left Auburn, Texas A&M, Arizona State and Tennessee as some of the clearest markers of where the season settled.
What comes next is no longer about poll movement. It is about whether UCLA can turn that regular-season finish into the top overall seed when the NCAA Tournament field is set.
