The game had first been aimed at a Fall 2025 launch, then pushed to May 26, 2026 before Rockstar moved it again for what it called additional polish time.

The one area where Rockstar has been careful not to overcommit is online. It has acknowledged that an online component will continue with GTA 6, but it has not formally detailed a standalone GTA 6 Online feature set. No pricing model, launch timing or feature list has been confirmed, which leaves one of the most lucrative parts of the franchise in the same state as the game was a year ago: expected, but not yet fully explained.
For now, the clearest fact is that Rockstar has stopped moving the target. After a Fall 2025 plan, a revised May 26, 2026 date and a second delay, the studio has put gta6 on the calendar for November 19, 2026.
