CBS has set the date for the Tracker season 3 finale, and the network will send the hit drama out on Sunday, May 24, 2026, at 9 p.m. ET. The episode, titled “The Best Ones,” will close a season that has been running every Sunday night on CBS since the show returned with new episodes in early March.
The finale will put Colter and his brother Russell Shaw on the trail of someone who has been the victim of an evil research project, giving the series a case with a darker edge than the usual weekly manhunt. CBS renewed Tracker for season 4 back in January, so the May 24 hour is not a series ending, but it is the end of the current run that brought the show back into the network’s Sunday night lineup.
The date announcement arrived as CBS laid out finale plans for several other shows, including NCIS, Marshals and Fire Country. NCIS and NCIS: Origins have already wrapped their seasons, while Fire Country and Sheriff Country are both set to end their seasons on May 22. Marshals will finish its inaugural season the same night as Tracker.
That leaves Tracker in a familiar place for CBS: a steady Sunday performer with a finale that is timed to keep the network’s primetime stretch moving into late May. The season 3 closer also gives viewers one last chapter with Colter and Russell before the show shifts its focus to season 4.
