Alex Cooper and her husband, Matt Kaplan, walked the 2026 YouTube Upfront red carpet together in New York City on Wednesday, a public show of unity as her media company rolled out a slate of new projects. Kaplan put his hand around Cooper’s waist while they posed for photographers, and the pair were also seen holding hands as they arrived.
Cooper wore a black blazer and black pants. Kaplan wore a black sweater and pants. The appearance came as YouTube announced new shows featuring Cooper and produced by her company, Unwell Productions, including a new installment of Unwell Games, which she will host and which is set to premiere in late summer or fall.
Cooper will also host a two-part miniseries called Pot Stirrer, built around a Thanksgiving dinner with a group of reality stars and internet personalities. The project includes two secret pot stirrers who try to derail the night, and it is scheduled for Thanksgiving weekend. Unwell Productions is also set to premiere the microdrama Holiday Hard Launch in winter 2026 and the docuseries Before the Steps in spring 2027.
The red-carpet outing lands after weeks of scrutiny around the couple’s marriage. Cooper and Kaplan tied the knot in April 2024, but earlier this month an insider told the Daily Mail that tension between them had been growing. also reported that Kaplan was accused of allegedly blowing up on Unwell Network. The couple did not speak out about either allegation, and reports that they were sleeping in separate bedrooms only added to the chatter.
The backdrop has been just as noisy on Cooper’s professional side, where she has also been in the middle of a feud with Alix Earle. Earle used to work for the Unwell Network, and Cooper called out what she described as Earle’s passive-aggressive behavior. Earle said the feud was exaggerated during an interview on Today on Tuesday morning, adding that she loves everyone. For now, the public message from Cooper and Kaplan is the one they delivered in front of the cameras: they arrived together, stayed close, and moved on without addressing the gossip.
