Philadelphia Union will host Columbus Crew SC on Saturday, May 16, with kickoff set for 7:30 PM ET at Subaru Park. Coverage will be on Apple TV, and the club is turning the match into Unity Night, a game-day event built around food, music, community activities and a steady stream of fan promotions.
Parking lots for Union fans open at 2:30 PM, and supporters are encouraged to buy a parking pass online before arriving. The Philadelphia Union App is required to connect with a SeatGeek account to access tickets, and it is also used to take part in the club’s pre-game light show. That app will matter early for fans hoping to be among the first 300 to visit the Kids Club Table under Phang’s Playground and collect a limited-edition Unity Night poster.
Union Yards will be busy well before kickoff. Café Tinto, Tokio Sushi Truck and Philip’s Steaks are scheduled to serve food there, along with cocktails including the Rio Refresher, Stars & Stripes and French Fizz. The Misphitz will play tunes throughout the pregame, while the Dogfish Head Bar at Union Yards will run a 50-foot full bar with 20 beers. Inside the stadium bowl, special Unity Night cocktails will be available at Patron bars in sections 102 and 114.
Subaru Plaza will add another layer to the evening, with food from Colombia and Jamaica coming from Café Tinto and Jamaican Patty Shoppe. Those vendors will be available from 5:30 PM until the end of the halftime period, and fans can reach them through the Media Gate Entrance across from sections 102. A Brazilian drumline, Batala, is set to perform at 6:00 PM, and a world flag presentation will take place during procession.
The club is also building the night around participation. Fans can decorate a Fan Art Wall to show their global pride, write a good-luck message for Danley JeanJacques as he prepares to represent Haiti on the world stage, and scan a QR code if they are Phang’s Kids Club members to create a digital Phang’s Future Stars Card. The Unity Night T-shirt will be sold at the Union Shop, where a clearance section will be open for this game only.
Community work is folded into the match as well. Penn Medicine and Philadelphia Union will hold a non-perishable food drive on Saturday for the Penn Medicine Community Fridge, with fans asked to drop off items at the U-Serve tent on Subaru Plaza. U-Serve is presented by Bimbo Bakeries USA. It makes the night bigger than a match listing: this is a home date built to draw fans early, keep them moving through the grounds and tie the game to the club’s broader community push.
