Love Island is back for a 13th main series this summer, and ITV has unveiled the first teaser for a season that promises more villa noise before the first coupling even begins. Maya Jama appears in the 30-second clip in a bright pink dress and suit, while narrator Iain Stirling opens by telling viewers to get ready for the hottest competition of the summer.
The teaser sets the tone quickly. Jama says the villa will have a squad of worldies and a bench full of bombshells, while also promising more firepit drama, post-match analysis and spicier villa action reviews. Stirling then asks who has zero game and who will go all the way, before Jama closes with a warning that it is all kicking off. The new series will air on ITV2 and ITVX, although a premiere date has not yet been confirmed.
That missing date matters because the summer launch window has already started to narrow. A report earlier said the action would begin on 1 June, but ITV has not confirmed that schedule. The new season follows the third run of Love Island: All Stars, which aired in January and February and brought Tommy Bradley, Helena Ford and Harrison Solomon back to the villa. The previous main series ran for 49 episodes and ended with Cach Mercer and Toni Laites as winners.
The teaser arrives as the franchise tries to keep momentum after a busy run of winter episodes and a long main-season format. For now, the broadcaster is only committing to a summer return, leaving the start date as the key unanswered question. What is clear is that Love Island is being sold the same way it has been for years: bigger personalities, sharper rivalry and enough bombshell chatter to keep viewers waiting for the first night in the villa.
