The Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office took two people into custody on May 13, 2026, after investigating a shooting in Solvay that left a woman in her 20s with a leg wound.
Deputies responded at about 2:45 a.m. on May 12, 2026, to the 200 block of Lionel Avenue, where they found the woman had been shot in the leg. She was taken to Upstate with non-life-threatening injuries and is now in stable condition.
The sheriff’s office later identified the people in custody as Octavia Lanphere, 26, of Syracuse, and Donald Beyor III, 44, of the Town of Salina. Both are being held at the Onondaga County Justice Center and are awaiting arraignment.
The investigation was into the discharge of a firearm and shooting a female. Before the later update naming both Lanphere and Beyor, the sheriff’s office had said one male was in custody.
That earlier statement pointed to an inquiry still moving quickly, and the later arrest update shows investigators have now linked two people to the case. The sheriff’s office has not released the specific charges listed after their names.
For now, the case has narrowed to two people, a woman recovering from a gunshot wound, and the next step in court at the Onondaga County Justice Center.
