Pearl Jam is set to play its first date since drummer Matt Cameron left the band, landing on the lineup for Eddie Vedder’s Ohana Festival in Dana Point, California, from Sept. 25 through Sept. 27.
The Southern California festival is marking its 10-year anniversary, and the bill puts Pearl Jam alongside Eddie Vedder & Friends, Tyler Childers, Alabama Shakes, Fontaines D.C., Pixies, Rilo Kiley, Billy Idol, Jon Batiste and Maná. Ticket pre-sales are available now for members of the Ten Club, while the general pre-sale begins May 14.
Cameron amicably parted ways with Pearl Jam in July 2025 after 27 years of service, leaving the band without a publicly confirmed replacement. Last month, guitarist Mike McCready said the group was still working through its next move and did not yet have a new drummer, saying the band was talking about it and figuring out what comes next.
That makes the Ohana date the first real test of how Pearl Jam will navigate a live show without the drummer who anchored it for nearly three decades. The group has handled short-term absences before, using fill-in players when Cameron had Covid in 2022, including Dave Krusen, John Klinghoffer and Richard Stuverud, but this booking arrives with the lineup still unresolved and the clock ticking toward late September.
Vedder has curated Ohana since its launch in 2016, and the festival has grown into one of his signature events, drawing top-line rock acts and newer names alike. Past lineups have included Green Day, Foo Fighters, the Chucks, Pretenders, Stevie Nicks, Jack White, the Killers, the Strokes and the Red Hot Chili Peppers, while this year’s edition also adds Bad Religion, Courtney Barnett, Sugar, the Format, Tom Odell and Men I Trust.
For Pearl Jam fans, the announcement does two things at once: it confirms the band will step back onstage at one of Vedder’s own festivals, and it underlines that the drummer question is still open. If the group has a solution in place by September, Ohana will be the place where it introduces it. If it does not, the festival date will show how Pearl Jam plans to carry on anyway.
