Peter Phillips and Harriet Sperling have announced their wedding date, confirming they will marry on Saturday 6 June 2026 at All Saints Church in Kemble, Cirencester, in a private ceremony. The couple said the summer service will take place with close friends and immediate family around them in the Cotswolds.
A spokesman for Phillips said the pair had informed both families jointly by invitation, and that Their Majesties The King and Queen, as well as the Prince and Princess of Wales, had also been told of the announcement. A friend of the couple said the setting reflects where they grew up and is especially meaningful to them both.
The wedding date lands after a quiet run-up that included confirmation last month that the couple had received permission from the vicar to marry in church. That step mattered because Phillips and Sperling are both divorced, and church weddings in those circumstances require special permission. All Saints Church is also close to where Sperling grew up in Gloucestershire, giving the ceremony a personal setting rather than a grand public one.
The announcement also settles months of speculation over who would be included. The same friend said Andrew Mountbatten Windsor and Sarah Ferguson were probably not invited because their presence could distract from the day, a pointed judgment in a family still shadowed by renewed scrutiny over ties to Jeffrey Epstein. The friend added that Prince Harry has not been invited, saying he and Phillips have not spoken for several years and have simply lost touch.
That absence will draw attention because Phillips was among the guests at Harry’s wedding to Meghan Markle. Harry, in turn, attended Zara Tindall’s wedding to Mike Tindall, underlining how the extended family has shown up for major milestones before even as individual relationships have drifted. Phillips, 48, has two daughters, Savannah and Isla, with his former wife, and his family expected to attend includes Princess Anne, Captain Mark Phillips, Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence, Zara Tindall and Mike Tindall.
For Phillips, the announcement turns a private arrangement into a fixed date on the royal calendar. The wedding will not be a public spectacle, but the guest list, the church, and who is not there may say as much about the family’s current shape as the ceremony itself.
