’s preparations for his July blockbuster against will begin in Bangkok, where he and a small entourage are set to spend three weeks training inside a gym chosen for the job.

said this week that the camp for the headliner was put together after long conversations with , and Johnny Lewis, with the aim of stripping away anything that could pull Tszyu off course. will jet out for Asia late next week with two sparring partners, while another three will already be waiting on the ground. Among the candidates is undefeated WBC International middleweight champion Eumir Marcial.

The Bangkok move marks a sharp shift in how Tszyu has been prepared before. He has spent most of his camp time in Las Vegas or at in Miami, Florida, but this time the plan is split between three weeks in Thailand and then six or seven more weeks back home in Sydney before the July fight. The change comes after Tszyu rebuilt momentum under the banner of The Phoenix, with consecutive wins over previously unbeaten Anthony Velazquez and previously unbeaten Denis Nurja restoring him to the top tier of the division.

Fenech said the thinking behind the camp was simple: make sure Tszyu is happy, remove the noise and keep the focus on the gym. He said the plan was about eliminating “all the bulls***” in Tszyu’s life, right down to social media, so the fighter arrives each day ready to do work he loves. Fenech said he has spoken with Lewis every day and drew heavily on Bennett’s approach to keeping athletes feeling cared for, a formula he described as central to getting them to training with real purpose.

The influence of those conversations was not new. Tszyu spent time inside Bennett’s office at in December, a sign that the camp’s latest shape has been under discussion for months rather than thrown together at the last minute. For a fighter who has already lived through the lows and the reset, the next stretch in Bangkok is less about glamour than routine, and less about spectacle than making sure July 26 is met on the right terms.
