Tiger Woods' private jet landed at Palm Beach International Airport around 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, bringing the 50-year-old golfer back to Florida after about six weeks at a facility overseas. The 2008 Gulfstream G550 had left Zurich's Kloten Airport around 2 p.m. Swiss time the same day.

Woods left for treatment in early April after a judge approved his lawyer's request for comprehensive inpatient care outside the United States. The move came after his March 27 arrest on a DUI charge following a rollover crash on Jupiter Island near his home.

The crash happened when Woods' Land Rover SUV tried to pass a pickup truck pulling a pressure-cleaner trailer on a narrow, two-lane road in the Treasure Coast town. A sheriff's affidavit said Woods blew a triple zero on the breathalyzer and refused a urinalysis, and it also said two hydrocodone pills were found in his pants pocket. He was released on $1,150 bail about eight hours after the incident.

Woods said in an X post that he was stepping away for a period of time to seek treatment and focus on his health, calling it necessary to prioritize his well-being and work toward lasting recovery. He said he was committed to returning in a healthier, stronger and more focused place, both personally and professionally, and asked for privacy for his family, loved ones and himself. The return to Florida comes as the case tied to his prescription records moves forward in a separate , while his latest setback adds to a career already marked by serious injuries, including a 2021 California car crash in which he almost lost his right leg.

Woods is back in the U.S., but the question now is how soon, and in what condition, he can re-enter public life after a stretch that began with an arrest, a court-approved treatment plan and a quiet flight home.
