Chase Infiniti is dating Tyriq Withers, according to a source close to Infiniti, ending weeks of speculation around the pair after they were seen together repeatedly in recent months. The two most recently appeared side by side at GQ's post-Met Gala party on May 4, following a visit to Audi's F1 team garage at the F1 Grand Prix in Miami two days earlier.
The source said Infiniti is “having fun and dating” and is “in a really good place and enjoying herself like any young woman.” The public trail around the relationship has been steady. Withers attended the March 31 premiere of Infiniti's Hulu series The Testaments, and Kerry Washington posted a selfie on Feb. 28 that showed her with Withers and Infiniti at the NAACP Image Awards. At the Academy Awards on March 15, Infiniti laughed when asked about people online shipping her and Withers as a couple.
That reaction now reads differently in light of the confirmation, but the timeline also shows how long the two had been showing up in the same places before anyone put a name to it. Withers himself had already said in an interview published March 13 that he had not really dated after finding fame and described himself as “very much intimately single.”
In that same interview, Withers said he did not even think of himself as famous, adding that he was excited to see what comes next. He also spoke about wanting love and not surface-level connections, saying he is a Cancer who asks what sets a date’s soul on fire. Infiniti, for her part, has tried to frame the overlap in their circles as something larger than one rumored romance, saying Kerry Washington had helped pull her, Withers and Miles Caton together in recent months and that she wants the group to stay friends.
The timing matters because both actors have been drawing more attention in recent years, and their public appearances have turned a private question into a very visible one.
