Jason Biggs and Jenny Mollen have broken up after nearly 20 years of marriage, a rep for the couple confirmed to E! News on May 14. The former couple remain on great terms and are focused on co-parenting their sons, Sid, 12, and Lazlo, 8.
Biggs, 48, and Mollen, 46, married in 2008 after first meeting in 2007 while auditioning for My Best Friend's Girl. Their relationship had often been in public view, with Mollen joking in 2023 that she had initially thought, "Jason Biggs? That guy from American Pie?" She later said she was not rooting for him at first because he was more famous, but added, "It works out."
The breakup lands after years in which the pair spoke openly about the work behind the relationship. Mollen said in 2016 that when they worked together, there was a lot of competition between them and that the dynamic was shaped by childhood abandonment issues and "narcissistic parents." Biggs later said in 2019 that the marriage was "better than it’s ever been" and credited Mollen for sticking by him through his struggles with alcoholism.
The couple had also stayed publicly connected in recent months. In March, Mollen posted a supercut of Biggs' career highlights, prompting a response from him online, and the two last stepped out together at the 43rd Torino Film Festival 2025 in Turin, Italy. Those moments made the split less expected, even if the confirmation on May 14 shows the marriage has now ended.
What happens next is clear enough: both will keep raising Sid and Lazlo together. For a pair that first hit it off more than 18 years ago, married nine months later in a FedEx Kinkos parking lot in Calabasas, and spent years talking publicly about the strain and repair inside the relationship, the end of the marriage comes with a familiar promise to put the children first.
