Cooper Flagg spent part of his offseason in Turks and Caicos, and new Instagram posts on Friday showed the Dallas rookie and Duke women’s basketball center Arianna Roberson having fun in the sun at the same oceanfront swings.
Flagg sat in one of the swings at Noah’s Ark in his photo, while Roberson posed holding the swing and her sunglasses in hers. The two posts showed both players enjoying the same spot over the water, giving fresh fuel to the chatter around the Cooper Flagg girlfriend search that has followed the 19-year-old since he left Duke for the NBA.
The vacation images appeared after Flagg capped a huge first professional season. He averaged 21 points on 46 percent shooting, plus 6.7 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 1.2 steals in 70 starts, and won Rookie of the Year. He and Michael Jordan are the only rookies since the 1973-74 season to lead their teams in points, rebounds, assists and steals. Dallas, however, missed the playoffs for the second consecutive year after losing the NBA Finals in 2023-24.
Roberson and Flagg seemingly crossed paths through Duke. She overlapped with him for a year during the 2024-25 season, when both were freshmen, and she is the sister of former NBA guard Andre Roberson, who spent six of his seven NBA seasons with the Thunder and last played in the 2020-21 season with the Nets. In her past season, Arianna Roberson averaged 8.0 points per game on 41 percent shooting across 33 games.
For Flagg, the offseason photos are a light detour after a year that moved him quickly from college star to No. 1 pick and then to Rookie of the Year. For Dallas, the bigger picture still points to urgency: the team needs its new centerpiece to keep building, even as he spends the summer far from the pressure of the court.
