Sporting Kansas City will host LA Galaxy at Sporting Park on Wednesday, March 13, at 7:30 p.m. CT, and the club is pairing the match with a Kids Day promotion as it prepares fans for a busy night on the stadium grounds.
The most immediate change for supporters is access. All four ramps of the N. 110th Street exit off I-70 are closed because of construction of the new Buc-ee's near Sporting Park, and a portion of Village West Parkway near the I-70 and 110th Street exit is also closed. Fans headed to the game are being steered to plan ahead for traffic and allow extra time, especially as the match arrives with a full fan guide covering transportation, stadium entry, ticketing, parking and in-stadium purchasing rules.
That guide matters because the club has tightened several game-day procedures. Sporting KC tickets are mobile-only and must be managed through SeatGeek Account Manager. Tickets will be scanned before fans go through security when entering the stadium, and screenshots will no longer be accepted. Cash is no longer accepted for transactions inside the building, a change that pushes nearly every purchase toward digital or card-based payment.
For fans carrying bags, the club says clear bags measuring 12 inches by 12 inches by 6 inches or smaller may be permitted after a thorough inspection by stadium security staff. The SportingStyle x Amazon Just Walk Out technology is also featured only at the SportingStyle store on the east side of the building at the top of section 131, giving shoppers one designated spot to use the system.
There is also a pregame gathering point for some of the club's most committed supporters. Supporter Stand ticket holders and Season Ticket Members are encouraged to hang out in the Budweiser Brew House for prematch specials before kickoff. After the match, the night is set to continue on the Plaza stage, where Logan Mize is scheduled to perform 15 minutes after the final whistle.
The setup underscores how much a single home date now involves more than the 90 minutes on the field. With construction reshaping access routes near Sporting Park and the club layering in tighter entry, ticketing and payment rules, the practical challenge for fans on Wednesday is not just getting to the stadium but getting through it without delay.
