The bundle lets shoppers choose one of three games: Mario Kart World, Donkey Kong Bananza or Pokémon Pokopia. Nintendo says the package is worth up to $29.99 more than buying the system and game separately, which gives the offer a straightforward appeal for anyone planning to pick up the new machine at launch.
That pitch rests on the strength of the software. Mario Kart World is billed as the biggest Mario Kart game yet. Donkey Kong Bananza follows Donkey Kong and Pauline as they destroy their way through layer after layer while exploring. Pokémon Pokopia is a life sim in which players take on the role of a Ditto transformed to look like a human.
The timing also matters because the bundle lands just as retailers start carrying the new system in early June, and it is being sold only through participating stores. Nintendo Switch 2 is also described as delivering up to 4K resolution, mouse control functionality in compatible games and GameChat for online features, a feature set meant to give the hardware a clearer identity than a standard console refresh.
The catch is that the offer is temporary, and the choice may go quickly if demand is strong.
