Disney Plus will begin streaming VisionQuest on 14 October, 2026, with Paul Bettany back as Vision in what Disney describes as the final instalment in its Wandavision-era trilogy.
The series will run for eight episodes and continues White Vision’s search for purpose in a post-Thanos, post-Wanda world. That places it squarely as the capstone to a story that began with WandaVision in 2021 and moved on through Agatha All Along in 2024, ending half a decade after the original series first reset Marvel television’s tone on streaming.
Bettany’s return gives the project its anchor, but the cast around him is stacked with returning faces and new arrivals. James Spader is back as Ultron, Todd Stashwick plays Paladin, and Ruaridh Mollica appears as Tommy Maximoff. T’Nia Miller joins as Jocasta, while Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer, James D’Arcy, Orla Brady, Emily Hampshire, Lauren Morais and Diane Morgan are also in the cast.
Disney has said each episode will emulate a different kind of film, a format that suggests VisionQuest is being built to stand apart from the usual superhero-run template. The company is not just extending a story line; it is closing one that has been deliberately unconventional from the start, with the new series framed as the final instalment in that trilogy.
That also gives the October launch real weight inside the wider Marvel schedule. After over two years without the next chapter arriving, Disney Plus is now setting a firm date for the series that is meant to answer where White Vision goes after the losses that defined him. The question is no longer whether the trilogy continues. It does not. VisionQuest is the ending.
