Ciara Miller is moving from the Summer House orbit to the Love Island USA franchise. Miller was set to co-host the dating show’s companion series Aftersun alongside Tefi Pessoa, while Ariana Madix was already set to return as host of the main Love Island USA series.
The new assignment gives Miller a second high-profile television job at a moment when she is also balancing reality TV and live-event work. She had been hosting red carpet events and served as a commentator on E!’s coverage of the Met Gala before this announcement. She was recently confirmed as part of the cast of Dancing with the Stars Season 35, while also remaining a mainstay on Summer House since joining in Season 5.
The timing matters because Love Island USA Season 8 is set to premiere on June 2 and run through mid-July, putting the companion series in front of viewers as the new season gets underway. Aftersun has previously been hosted by Maura Higgins, and Miller’s arrival signals a new face for the after-show as the franchise resets around Madix’s return to the main stage.
What is not yet clear is whether Miller will also return for Summer House Season 11, which generally starts filming on the weekend of July 4 and runs through Labor Day in September. That overlap leaves her with a crowded calendar and raises the practical question of how much of her summer will be spent in the Hamptons versus in front of the camera elsewhere. For now, the bigger story is that Miller is no longer just a cast member in one reality universe; she is becoming a name the networks are willing to use across several of them.
